I create because I want to hold onto what matters while it’s still here. People, places, and moments don’t stay the same forever, and a lot of what gives them meaning isn’t obvious or permanent.
My work is a way of paying attention and giving form to that. Not to change it, and not to exaggerate it, but to take what’s real and shape it into something that can last a little longer than the moment itself.
I see my role as both a collaborator and a translator. I find purpose in creating something that allows someone else to understand a person or situation more clearly—to learn something they didn’t know before, or see something in a way they hadn’t considered.
