The Film
What the Cherry Blossoms Know is a short poetic film shaped by questions rather than answers. Set beneath Seattle’s cherry blossoms, it reflects on change, stillness, return, and the quiet wisdom written into the natural world. Through intimate imagery and reflective voiceover, the film considers what it means to move through seasons of waiting, letting go, and becoming.
The Purpose
This project began as a visual meditation inspired by spring, but grew into something more inward and searching. I filmed among the cherry blossoms with a focus on softness, atmosphere, and movement, then built the piece around an original voiceover that could hold both wonder and tension. The result is a short film that blends observation, memory, and reflection into a cinematic study of nature, change, and the questions we carry through both.
